Cleanings and Exams
Regular dental checkups with periodontal exams are an important part of our practice and should be a top priority for all families. We stress these checkups as a means of early detection of problems that lead to dental cavities, tooth loss, and periodontal disease and even deadly cancers.
Children
The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry recommends that your child visit the dentist by the time his or her first tooth appears - around the first birthday. This first visit will allow me to "just take a look." It is an opportunity for me to meet the child and answer any questions that you, as a parent, might have.
Laser Dentistry
This revolutionary technology has allowed me to dramatically reduce the need for shots and the dental drill.
What our patients are saying about the dental laser:
- "Wow. Amazing. Now I can go back to work and not have to hide because of a numb mouth."....Scott W.
- "That is definitely the way to go."....Lloyd Y.
- "Fantastic. Kids don't know how lucky they are to have this."....Stacie T.
Metal Free Fillings
Safe, advanced tooth colored materials can improve the look of your smile and strengthen your teeth as well.
Dental Implants
Dental implants can eliminate the need for loose fitting removable dentures or cutting down healthy teeth for fixed bridgework.
Non-Surgical Gum Care
Periodontal disease, not cavities, is the leading cause of tooth loss today. With early diagnosis, simple non-surgical gum care can help you avoid costly, painful problems. Many patients' insurance programs now allow for 4 visits (2 exams, 4 cleanings) per year. Check with your insurance company to see if you have this benefit.
Cosmetic Dentistry
The area of cosmetic dentistry is broad and includes teeth whitening to correct stained, discolored, or dull-looking teeth, bonding or veneers to close gaps or repair chipped, cracked or worn teeth, implants and crowns and bridges can replace missing teeth, and old and unsightly fillings can be replaced by tooth-colored fillings. All of these procedures can give you a boost of confidence with your new smile!
